A little family holiday

We have just returned from our first holiday as a family of four and have had a lovely relaxing time. We headed down to Beachport and planned to meet up with friends and our Godson in Millicent while we were there.

The 5 hour drive actually took us 7 hours with toilet, change and feed stops but it went smoothly, so that was good. We enjoyed a few rest stops along the way in Meningie, Kingston to see Larry the Lobster, Robe (my favourite), Langhorne Creek and Wellington for the ferry.

We hired a lovely little holiday cottage and were really lucky as SA was enjoying unseasonably warm weather for May (the hottest since records began) so all the warm weather clothes we'd packed weren't really needed as most days started cold and headed up to the high 20s.

We had 2 lovely days when Nige, Sue and Luke came to visit us in Beachport and when we spent the day at their house.

We seem to have extended our holiday since we have come home too as we had a fun day Friday, strawberry picking and having lunch at Mt Compass and had a birthday party this morning, lots of fun!
