Family Adventures

Since I last blogged we've had a  few family adventures, some more "adventurous" then others!!

Terry went for a flight in a Powered Parachute with someone he had met through work. He had to meet him at 6am, but said it was a great way to start the day, as he saw kangaroos hoping along and the sun coming up. He thoroughly enjoyed it and I'm sure he will do it again...

We went to Luke's 2nd Birthday Party and had great fun, dancing to The Wiggles (and Blur) songs and eating ice cream cake! Our next family get together is going to be to take all the boys bowling, so watch this space...

The boys discovered a new love of rock pools when we visited Crockery Bay, it is a beach FULL of shells with lots of rock pools. We went on a shell hunt to collect some shells for the Mister Maker drawers and ended up exploring the rock pools (and getting wetter than expected when I had no change of clothes, but "hey ho!")

Terry had bought me a paddle board lesson for my birthday, which I did last weekend. It was such good fun, actually very relaxing. I was really pleased that I managed to stand up in the first 5 minutes and stayed dry for the whole lesson. I had a couple of hairy moments, one where I nearly fell off and one where the wind drifted me close to some rocks, but no emergencies, so that was good.

Terry also treated me to a rare "romantic" Valentine's Day. After almost 18 years together , we don't really "do" Valentine's Day anymore, but because I had had a bit of a rubbish birthday with us all being sick with gastro, he decided to give me a make up birthday full of surprises (which, to be honest, I'm not usually very good with!) The day started with breakfast out at The Boulevard CafĂ©, just down the road. We then spent the day doing Random Acts of Kindness, I might blog more about that another time. Then, as I was finishing making tea, my Mum and Dad arrived and I was informed they were having the boys and we were off out for tea. We drove out to Second Valley and had a delicious meal and lovely evening at Leonard's Mill. I need to make a note to be better at surprises, as they can actually be a lot of fun!
