A 1 year old and a 2 year old... (for a little bit)

Well, it's official, our baby is now one, we had a great couple of days with his birthday and party, we took Quinn swimming for the first time on his birthday, which he found more relaxing than anything else!!!

Ready to go....
Chilling out!

We then had a party at home the day after, had quite a few people 'round and (for the last day of Winter) the weather was brilliant for us, it was a lovely relaxed day in the garden, the perfect way to celebrate Quinn's milestone...

Enjoying his cake!

Only a couple more weeks and we will be celebrating Darcy's birthday, invites have been sent and preparations are underway!

I've been dabbling in reducing our sugar intake through Sarah Wilson and David Gillespie's books, it's amazing how much sugar is in some things when you start to look into it. I think over the past 3 months or so I have managed to make chocolate less of a crutch in my life, I am definitely no longer reliant on it to get me through the 3pm energy lull! As far as the family goes, we are managing to buy most things with less than 6g of sugar per 100g and are just being more mindful of our sugar intake.

I have started teaching again, done a few relief days at four different local schools during the last 2 weeks of term, nice to be back in the classroom for a bit of a change, also joined the gym, first class back nearly killed me (after almost 18 months off the exercise "thing"!) but hopefully it will get easier each time.

Other than that, this is what's been happening.....
