The Retro Look

We are in the process of trying to decide on some new furniture for our second lounge room (not an easy task with 2 little ones and furniture shops a good hour and a half drive away!) Anyway, we have had a little look but haven't quite decided on what we want yet.

Our front lounge has only ever had a bookshelf in it since we moved in (9 months ago now) Darcy now calls it the "dancing room" and we have to go in there and dance!!

I think we will actually end up moving our current sofa and chair into the front room and getting new stuff for our family room; we do like the mismatched look in the home magazines, but I think it's harder to achieve than it looks..

Anyway, Mum and I went op shop shopping today and we got this very cool footstool for $5, just trying to decide if I should make a patchwork blue cover for it, or leave it as it is now...

 

 

If we could find some more finds like this we might be able to make the mismatched look work...watch this space!
