The last week or so we've been working on changing the family room décor. We had a bit of a red theme before we moved and decided to change this to blue. Mum and I went shopping for some fabric to make some new cushion covers. I had seen a patchwork armchair on a TV show and was inspired to do the same with some cushions, although I did cut and create some of the patchworks, all the sewing is down to Mum (thanks Mum x) We're really pleased with the end results;
We also bought a new piece of artwork we are calling our family mantra!
And a cool new clock too;
We had three more walls to fill to make the room a bit more homely. I ordered some fabric for the (currently red) canvases so I have now joined them together and recovered those on one wall and we have a new collage photo frame on the other wall. That leaves the biggest wall; we saw a long thin beach hut painting we liked, so we've googled some artwork we like and we are going to get Mum to have a go at creating one (watch this space!)

Funny things this week, Darcy keeps giving Penguin and Makka Pakka a drink, which involves just leaving them with their heads in cups in his room!
How Darcy leaves the house when Daddy's dressed him! Well, he couldn't be called "dull" in an orange striped jumper, green striped swimmers and blue starry socks!
