The Penguin Party (and THE Cubby House)

Well, I said for a little bit, we now have a 1 year old and a 3 year old. Despite the awful weather; Darcy's Penguin Party went really well, he had lots of fun with his friends. It is a real pleasure to watch your child's unadulterated joy and thankfulness for things, hopefully it will continue for a few more years...

Continuing our "up cycling" ventures, Terry has been making a Cubby House for the boys, it has been made (mainly) from pallets and left over corrugated sheets from our one neighbour and some wood from our other neighbour.

With a lot of hard work, Terry managed to get it done for Darcy's birthday (still not sure where my "handyman" came from?) He's done such a good job though and Darcy loves his Cubby House and keeps telling Daddy "It took a long time to make it, I LIKE it!"

We're going to have a look around for a door and window (or shutters) now and do some finishing bits and bobs inside
