Creative Parenting!

With a sick child at home for up to 10 days, I have had to get creative to keep my two little cherubs from getting bored (or killing each other!) Thank goodness for Pinterest for some cool ideas....

 

Well, we always love a bit of painting anyway, but we had a go at Mister Makers firework picture, Darcy did a great picture and Quinn enjoyed playing in the left over paint...

 

 

A LOT!!!



We had fun making an animal wash for our little animals...



We tried a few Science Experiments, trusty vinegar and baking soda was the most popular and keeps getting requested AGAIN and AGAIN...

 

 

 

A tray full of Gloop (corn flour, water, food colouring) kept Darcy happy for AGES, too easy!!!!

 

 

We made craters in the moon with stones in a cake tin full of flour.... 

 

 

We played a fun game with our letters from Grandma...

Hunt for objects in the split peas...


Find the sounds on the alphabet strip...


Put the sounds together...


Spell the word...

 

 

I even got creative with breakfast (I tell you what, Pinterest is DANERGOUS for a stay at home mum!!!)

 

We did get out of the house today, and stopped at the Whale on the way into Victor Harbor, we drive passed it daily but never stop, the boys had a ball climbing and watching the traffic go past (Quinn LOVED vehicles!)
