Autumn in Victor Harbor

Life has been busy (as usual) With Terry working hard to get the new business up and running (whilst still working full time in his usual role) family time has been somewhat limited to say the least! We have had a mix of weather, weeks of beautiful sunshine and weeks of LOTS of rain!!! But in amongst all of this we have managed to squeeze in a few family adventures.

We went on a bike ride to see some of the Sculpture between Port Elliot and Middleton, these were part of the Saltwater Festival.

We visited our friend's place during the rainy weather and because they are in the middle of building on their block, there were lots of very BIG puddles which the boys had fun getting muddy in.

We had a look at some of the classic cars and had a visit from Kath and Roy on their first Grey Nomad trip from NSW. We hadn't seen them since 2007, so it was very special to see them again and have them meet the boys for the first time.

We celebrated Mother's Day with a visit to The Retro CafĂ© in Port Elliot. It was a nice day. Darcy had made me laugh a few days before though; I was drying him after his bath and he said to me "We've got Mother's Day all sorted" and I whispered "Oh good, but it's probably meant to be a surprise" to which he replied (in a whisper) "It's OK, it's just a bag" BLESS HIM! Quinn has become very cuddly since his bouts of sickness, which is lovely! He walks up to me several times a day, arms outstretched saying "ahhh" I am enjoying this ALOT!

We met Alan & Marcia for a little adventure in their little yellow rocket, this was a fun day, which we all enjoyed and had a yummy picnic afterwards.

We had Mum's Birthday and went for lunch in McLaren Vale and then back to ours for a chicken lasagne (s requested by the birthday girl!)

And today we decided to make the most of our local attractions (and work on our Staycation list) and visit The Rose Garden and Miniature Village, but it was closed. So we ended up playing Crazy Golf in Victor, which was fun and then having fish and chips on the beach. Followed by a bit of a lay in the sand, Quinn was loving all the digger tracks as he's a big fan of any vehicle!
